Valentin had a big day against Santa Fe. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 2nd inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 13th of the season) in the 3rd inning. Santa Fe made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. The win was credited to Bonderman(4-8) who went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs. Bonderman got help from Dustin Hermanson who was credited with his 4th save. Chris Carpenter(8-4) ended up with the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 2 and 2/3 innings of work. 'Everything felt great' Bonderman said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'
